This VDOS webinar discusses defect preparation and restoration for fractured and carious teeth. Sealing of exposed dentin in the case of tooth wear, uncomplicated fracture, and enamel hypoplasia is explained. Restorative materials such as composites, glass ionomers, and compomers are introduced. The preparation of teeth for placement of full or partial metal crowns (prosthodontics) is reviewed, including bite registration and dental impressions.
